Snowplow Sam 1-4Snowplow Sam 1 is where new skaters ages 3-6 will begin their journey on the ice. These levels are designed to teach the basic fundamentals of skating at an age appropiate rate. Our coaches use games, toys and on-ice drawings to keep the skaters active. Once a skater finishes snowplow sam 4, they will pass into Basic 2 or Hockey 1 to continue their skating journey. Helmets are HIGHLY recommended for all new skaters for safety.
Skaters will begin each lesson off the ice before getting on the ice. Lessons run from 11-11:45am on Sundays. |
Basic 1-6Basic 1 is where new skaters ages 7-13, start their skating journey. Skaters will learn the basic skating fundametals like how to march, how to fall down and stand up again, how to skate backward, crossovers and much more! Skaters will advance through the levels once they have shown mastery of their current skills. Each skater will progress at their own rate and some skills take extra practice before learning new skills.
Lessons run from 11am-11:45am on Sundays. |
NEW Aspire ProgramThis program includes Pre-FS, Freeskate 1-6, and Axel levels.
This is designed to help teach the more advanced skating skills and introduce the fundamentals of off-ice training, jumps, spins, synchro, ice dance, moves in the field and more! Skaters will recieve a program t-shirt when they join for the first time. Lessons will run from 11am-11:45am on Sundays. |
Special OlympicsEstablished in March 2020, we now have a special class designed for Special Olympic athletes as part of the Learn to Skate USA program. Skaters ages 3 to adult may join this level.
This is a specially designed classes allow individuals with a range of developmental disabilities to skate. The Special Olympics badge programs are designed to engage these individuals in the sport for recreation, activity and enjoyment. Skaters will begin each lesson off the ice before getting on the ice. Lessons run from 11-11:45am on Sundays. |
Hockey 1-4 Skating SkillsDesigned to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating, the four badge levels, will teach skaters how to be more proficient and agile on the ice. Proper techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus and all elements are taught without a puck or stick. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, crossovers, and other necessary fundamentals to be successful. To join our hockey skating class, skaters must have passed Snowplow Sam 4 or Basic 1. No sticks or hockey equipment is needed to participate.

Learn to Synchro Class**This is a speciality class that is only offered occasionally**
This program is a fantastic way to introduce the team sport of synchronized skating to anyone participating in group lessons. Block, circle, line, wheel and intersection are the five elements, and each are performed with prescribed handholds. As skaters advance through the various levels, they will learn how to transition properly between elements using multiple holds.

Learn to Play Hockey**This is a speciality class that is only offered occasionally**
Learn from the best with Adrain College Hockey players. This 45 minute session will consist of one-on-one skill work with the players including stick and puck handling followed by a power session led by Team USA figure skaters to improve speed, quickness, and agility on the ice! |
Lenawee United HS SkatingStarting in the 2020/2021 skating season, we will be forming a level "C" team to compete in the Michigan High School Figure Skating Series. Skaters must be enrolled in grades 9-12 at a local high school as a full time student or as a full-time homeschool student. Skaters may attend any Lenawee County HS. We are looking to continue in the 2021/2022 Season.
